Musical America Honors
Musical America honored ASCAP members at with distinctions in its annual awards. Kaija Saariaho (TEOSTO) was named Composer of the Year. Chanticleer, the only independent full-time classical vocal ensemble in America, earned Ensemble of the Year. Chanticleer's Music Director is ASCAP member Joseph Jennings. Musical America also honored Robert Spano, Conductor of the Year, and Charles Rosen, Instrumentalist of the Year.
