Cakewalk has released version 8 of its powerful and popular SONAR Studio production software, and new features abound. Highlights include an updated Loop Explorer 2.0 view, dedicated instrument tracks, QuickTime 7 import and export, the Beatscape loop performance instrument; an update of Dimension Pro 1.2, and more. Cakewalks says the program also offers numerous audio and workflow enhancements, including expanded control surface support, newly included effects (including an LE version of Native Instruments' Guitar Rig 3), and more.
