Cherryholmes
In the five short years that Cherryholmes has been in existence, this Nashville-based bluegrass family band has already made a name for itself in the music industry. They were named IBMA's Entertainers of the Year for 2005 and earned a Grammy nomination in 2006 for their first commercial release Cherryholmes. They have also become regular performers on the historic Grand Ole Opry. Through collaboration of each individual's creative ideas, they are able to produce their own new brand of bluegrass music. With Jere as leader, manager and emcee on the upright bass, Sandy Lee on the mandolin, Cia Leigh on the banjo, B.J and Molly Kate on the fiddle and Skip on the guitar, each member is able to showcase their talents and abilities as they take turns singing lead while playing their instruments with their own sense of style. The group recently celebrated the release of their latest album, Cherryholmes II Black and White.
