ASCAP's Randy Newman Earns Grammy
for Best Song Written for Film
ASCAP congratulates Randy Newman for his Grammy win at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Newman took home the Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media award for the song "Our Town," from Cars, which was performed in the film by ASCAP member James Taylor. This was the third time Newman won the Grammy in that category, and his fifth Grammy overall.
