JENNI BRANDON'SVive la Liberte! for two-part treble choir, flute, percussion, and piano by the Committee of Arrangements for premiere during the 250th birthday celebration of the Marquis de Lafayette in Fayetteville, North Carolina in September.
MARK BULLER'S "We Outgrow Love," a song based on 11 Emily Dickenson poems, "3 Shakespeare Songs," "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" based on a Dylan Thomas poem of the same name, and two songs on texts by George Herbert were commissioned by college students Katie Kneisley, John Warren, Ben Patterson, and Glorianne Vasso for their senior voice recitals. The first three premiere February 2008, October 20, and October 17, 2007. Also, Buller scored for guitar and plucked piano by Sherri Nankey for her senior cinema major film project entitled Coming Home.
JESSICA CLINE and DOUG WAMBLE by Chamber Music America for their jazz ensembles.
JOHN L. CORNELIUS' Sarah & Joshua: a Juneteenth Musical for Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston and was performed on June 19. This world premiere of the original piece commemorates the declaration of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas.
KRESKIN invited LEIGH MADISON to add lyrics to his theme song, "Kreskin's Theme." The resulting collaboration is "I Can Read Your Mind."
