ASCAP/MAC Songwriters' Showcase
The latest installment of the ASCAP/MAC Songwriters' Showcase, produced by ASCAP's Michael A. Kerker and MAC's Jamie deRoy, took place November 13, 2007 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York. The event offers cabaret and theatre songwriters the opportunity to present new material before an audience of publishers and other songwriters. The evening, hosted by deRoy, featured the vocal talents of special guests Lucie Arnaz, Penny Fuller, Marieann Meringolo and Michelle Pirret who performed new works by songwriters Ron Abel, Chuck Steffan, Bernard Bierman and Barry Kleinbort.
