Celebrating Frank Foster

The legendary saxophonist, composer, arranger, bandleader and educator, Frank Foster, is an NEA Jazz Master who was inducted into the ASCAP Jazz Wall of Fame in 2006. Foster was recently honored at the Waterside Jazz Legends Gala in a celebration held on December 10, 2006 in Norfolk, VA. A slew of music greats in attendance were honored alongside Foster. ASCAP and the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) will celebrate the life and work of Dr. Frank Foster by commissioning two works in his honor in 2007.
