ASCAP Congratulates Gnarls Barkley on Being the First to Reach #1 in the UK on Download Sales Alone

Gnarls Barkley, the dynamic duo of Goodie Mob's Cee-Lo and DJ Danger Mouse, have make UK Chart history by reaching #1 with their debut single, "Crazy," based on download sales alone. Previously, downloads were only counted if the single was available in stores. The rules were recently changed, however, to include download sales, as long as copies are released in stores the following week. "Crazy" had over 31,000 downloads, catapulting the track to #1.
