ASCAP's Shawn LeMone (second from left) was on hand to congratulate ASCAP composers (from left) Garry Schyman (Destroy All Humans), Gerard Marino (God of War) and husband-wife team Laurie Robinson-Fratiano and Emmanuel Fratiano (Advent Rising) at the Game Audio Network Guild Awards in San Jose.
At the awards, Gerard's God of War won Music of the Year, Best Live Performance Recording, Best Interactive Score and Best Cinematic/Cut Scene Audio. Gerard also won the Rookie of the Year award. Earlier this year, Gerard's score for God of War also won the Outstanding Achievement in Music Composition Award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Laurie and Emmanuel won the Best Original Vocal/Choral award for their opera song "Muse" in the game Advent Rising. Laurie performed "Muse" live on stage the following night at the Video Games Live concert. Gerard, Laurie and Emmanuel are all graduates of ASCAP's Film Scoring Workshop.
