Faces & Places
The New York City Ballet has continued its long-standing commitment to contemporary music with the recent appointment of ASCAP composer Bright Sheng as its first Composer in Residence. The showpiece of Sheng's residency will be a 30-minute ballet score to be performed either during or after his tenure. The composer will also write a shorter piece, be heavily involved in rehearsals and participate in the Company's educational projects.
