Esa-Pekka Salonen and Earl Wild were recently honored at the 2006 Musical America Awards in New York City. Esa-Pekka Salonen was named Musician of the Year and Musical America featured him on the cover of their magazine. Earl Wild was named Instrumentalist of the Year.
