Jens Joneleit Wins Ernst von Siemens Prize

The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation gave one of their annual composer prizes to Jens Joneleit of Germany. The prize is the biggest award Europe has for young composers. Jens Joneleit explores a range of moods and human expressions in avant-garde musical settings. The award itself has been presented by the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts during an official ceremony in Vienna on May 12, 2006. Pierre Boulez (GEMA) delivered the laudatory address.
