Buck Howdy
The Voice of Kids’ Cowboy Music!
Cowboy crooner Buck Howdy is the nexus of Roy Rogers, Will Rogers and Mr. Rogers and -- whether you refer to his guitar pickin’ and singin’ as cowboy, country, western, folk, family or children’s music -- Buck is the most innovative thing to mosey down the trail in ages!
In fall 2003, Buck, a member of ASCAP for more than 20 years, released his debut album, Skidaddle!, on the MCA Nashville label. The 13-song album, a collection of original tunes penned by Buck and “Howdy-ized” covers of popular family favorites, marks the first time in MCA Nashville’s 45-year history that it has released a children’s title.
In October, Buck made his first appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, one of the only kids’ acts to take the famed stage in its 78-year history, and at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Buck is also the host of Buck Howdy’s Cow Pie Radio, which airs three times weekly on XM Satellite radio and on local stations in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Currently in the works is “The Buck Howdy Show,” a television series expected to debut nationally in 2004.
