Stephen Bishop

At a young age, Stephen Bishop set out for Los Angeles with a dream of being a successful songwriter. Art Garfunkel eventually recorded two of Bishop's songs on his Gold album, Breakaway. He started playing around town singing his songs in person for artists such as Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Diana Ross and Chaka Kahn. Bishop was then was signed to ABC Records where he released Careless, which went gold and included the hits "Save It For a Rainy Day" and "On and On." He sang the hit theme, "It Might Be You," from Tootsie and artists like Phil Collins, Steve Perry, Pheobe Snow, The Four Tops, and Pavarotti among others have sung his songs. Bishop has been nominated for two Grammys and an Oscar and his newest album is a solo record called Yardbird.
