Juan Bernardo Salazar of Grupo Mojado
The successful Mexican group Grupo Mojado made their international debut after signing with Fonovisa and releasing Pensando En Ti in 1995 and Sueño y Realidad in 1996. The latter featured Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks "Caldo de Pollo" and "Piensa en Mi," which were awarded the Lo Nuestro award for Best Regional Mexican Song. The group also appealed to the European scene by teaming up with Spanish producer Jose Tarodo to make a greatest hits compilation.
Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Grupo Mojado's Juan Bernardo Salazar began his musical career in the band at the age of 17. He is not only the group's keyboardist and back up vocalist, but he is also an excellent songwriter and has written many songs for the group and is also credited for producing and arranging songs for Marco Antonio Solis, Ana Barbara and many other well known and upcoming artists.
