Cue Sheet Corner
How to get paid in Film & TV
If your music is used in a film or television program, making sure a cue sheet is filed with ASCAP is an important step in getting paid for your work. Here's everything you need to know, along with some of the most frequently asked questions about cue sheets.
| New Cue Sheet Alert! |
Did you just finish work on a film or tv project?
Please let ASCAP know about your recent or upcoming activity. Using the form below, you can give a heads-up to ASCAP regarding your film and TV projects. We will use this information to request cue sheets and keep an eye out for cue sheets that may be on their way to ASCAP. This also alerts ASCAP to future TV performances and cinema releases. ASCAP relies on production companies to provide cue sheets on behalf of our members. Most cue sheets arrive at ASCAP as a matter of course. Sometimes we need to be pro-active and request cue sheets from the producers. The more information we have before a film is released, or a series or episode airs, the better off we are when crediting performances.
Please e-mail the form to avmember@ascap.com or fax to 212-595-3276.
If you have any questions please call Member Services at 1-800-95ASCAP.
We look forward to hearing from you!
