UPDATE ON NEW MEDIA RIGHTS WITHDRAWAL

In 2011, ASCAP’s Board of Directors adopted amendments to ASCAP’s Rules and Regulations to permit an eligible member to modify the member’s grant of licensing rights to ASCAP by withdrawing from ASCAP the right to license certain “New Media Transmissions.” Recently, the Board adopted further amendments.

ASCAP Resignation
Effective January 1, 2012, members seeking to resign from ASCAP must submit their request via Member Access. If you would like to notify ASCAP of your intention to resign from membership, please use the user interface available under the "Member Status" tab of My Membership. Notifications of your intention to resign will only be accepted during your annual eligibility period which is noted in this section of Member Access.
