Small Mercies (APRA)

Small Mercies

US producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More/Maroon 5) first heard the Brisbane-based Small Mercies on MySpace and contacted them prior to they're being signed. Matt went on to produce the band's debut album Beautiful Hum in Los Angeles. The album's Australian release is May 08 on SonyBMG. Small Mercies have toured with headliners including Nickelback, Daughtry, Good Charlotte and more. Their first two singles, "Innocent" and "Sorry," have both garnered great radio airplay, TV, film and commercial uses, with a string of four tracks appearing on the US TV series "Prison Break" and Aussie TV hits like "The Real Seachange," "Thank God You're Here," and "RPA." Critics agree - Small Mercies sound has elements of Matchbox 20, Maroon 5, Bon Jovi and Nickelback with memorable melodies, along with the heartfelt voice of Steve Blaik and the songs he creates with writing partner, guitarist Danny Procopis.

"Another great Brisbane band, beautiful one day, perfect the next." — Greg Wood (Music Director, Triple M, Brisbane)
