Jon Foreman (of Switchfoot)

Jon Foreman (of Switchfoot)

Jon Foreman, the frontman for the multi-platinum band, Switchfoot is also a thoughtful and musically literate pop star, who has read "Man's Search for Meaning," and composed for the Chinese instrument, the guzheng. Foreman recently returned to his indie-scene roots and is in the process of releasing a series of four solo EPs (one for each season of the year) through his label lowercasepeople records. These EPs, individually titled Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, are not only thematically linked to the seasons but Jon is working to make them sound seasonal dark, somber musical moods for Fall and Winter, light and sprightly music for Spring and Summer. Some people write songs to get famous or gain respect. Foreman writes songs to understand himself.

"Brooding, sensitive folk pop... from the likes of Damien Rice and David Gray" — Philadelphia Daily News
