Martha Wainwright
2007 TRIBECA/ASCAP MUSIC LOUNGE

Martha Wainwright
www.marthawainwright.com

With a hugely expressive voice and an arsenal of powerful songs, Martha Wainwright is a beguiling entertainer and a refreshingly different, new force in music. The daughter of folk legends Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and sister of acclaimed singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright, Martha has several releases under her belt including a few EPs and her eponymous Martha Wainwright, which received critical and commercial acclaim. She has film credits in both The Aviator and the Leonard Cohen documentary, I'm Your Man, to name a few. Currently Martha is recording her second full-length album due to be released in 2007.

"One of the best things I've heard all year." - Norah Jones in Mojo
