Kenna, whose name means "to get what you want," gained momentum in 2003 with New Sacred Cow on Columbia Records when both "Freetime" and "Hell Bent" were nominated for MTV Video Music Awards for "Breakthrough Video." He also opened for Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan and No Doubt. His music is eclectic with influences spanning from synth pop to punk rock to hip hop to electronica. His long-awaited follow-up, Face, was co-produced by high school friend Chad Hugo of The Neptunes and features select tracks from the other Neptune, Pharrell Williams.
"Part Stevie Wonder, part Radiohead, part Ric Ocasek, Kenna blends different cultures and identities in a sound that's completely his own." - AP
