Patti Smith

Patti Smith

Patti Smith emerged in the 1970's, galvanizing the music scene with her unique style of poetic rage, music, and trademark swagger. Her seminal album Horses was followed by eleven more releases, as well as several acclaimed books of poetry. The retrospective Strange Messenger features over 300 of her works and has exhibited at museums worldwide. In 2007 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The many aspects of this musician, poet and artist are merged in Steven Sebring's film Dream Of Life [An Official Sundance Selection].

"She's an artist, a poet, and a mother, then onstage, she's a force of nature, raging, spitting music and spewing poetry. Its fantastic." – Steven Sebring
