Meiko

Meiko is one of the most promising singer/songwriters to emerge from the Los Angeles music scene in recent years. Counting among her influences artists as diverse as Patty Griffin, Sade, and Portishead, Meiko's self-titled debut album which she self-released in late 2007 has already reached #35 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums chart. She's had numerous song placements in TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, and her music receives regular support from tastemaker L.A. radio station KCRW – all of this without the help of a record label.
