Café Culture
As ASCAP's Music Café headed into its fourth day, the word was out that the Star Bar was a great spot to take a break from the crowds marching up and down Main Street in Park City and enjoy an afternoon of incredible music from some of today's top and rising writer-performers.
Actors Mandy Moore and Timothy Hutton and documentary filmmaker Chris Paine (
Who Killed the Electric Car?) were in attendance, as well as several hundred other music fans. Performers for Monday, January 22 through Wednesday, January 24 included Jon McLaughlin, Silversun Pickups, Michael Brook, Simon Townshend, A Fine Frenzy, Marc Black, Joe Purdy and Jill Sobule with Julia Sweeney.
On Tuesday night, January 23, ASCAP and Filter Magazine co-sponsored a party, presented by Hollywood Video and Iron Mountain. The event, held at the Star Bar in Park City, featured performances by Silversun Pickups, Richard Swift, David Vandervelde and Two Gallants. A good time was had by all.
