One of the music community's most consistent and widely respected bands, Sparta (Jim Ward/guitar-lead vocals, Tony Hajjar /drums and Matt Miller/bass) formed in 2001 in El Paso, Texas. With the recent addition of Keeley Davis on guitar, Sparta has recently released the highly acclaimed and emotionally charged Threes. Of the album Entertainment Weekly says, "Their third and most polished full-length matches intricate guitar jousting with a melodic stickiness recalling a punkier U2." While Alternative Press proclaims that "Sparta finally seem intent on realizing their destiny as an arena-filling, life-changing band."
