Rufus Wainwright released his debut album on the DreamWorks label in the spring of 1998. This album received much critical acclaim and was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of the year. Wainwright's second album, Poses (2001), brought similar raves. Wainwright's most recent accomplishments include his albums, Want One and Want Two, garnering accolades from people like Elton John and Sting. Wainwright can be seen acting in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator and Merchant Ivory's Heights. He will begin recording his next album early in 2006.

"Wainwright's fanciful songs about love and faith place him in the rarified company of Bjork and Brian Wilson…." - Rolling Stone
