Bruce Hornsby, a three-time Grammy winner who's sold more than 10 million records since his multi-platinum debut, The Way It Is, in 1986, draws from a wide array of influences – among them jazz, pop, classical, bluegrass, rock and vaudeville. With his ninth full length album, Halcyon Days, he creates his most sublime and elegant collection to-date, including wonderful guest performances with Elton John, Eric Clapton, Sting and Lloyd Jones. Over the years, Hornsby has played on more than 100 records with artists like Bob Dylan, Don Henley, the Grateful Dead, Bob Seger, Bonnie Raitt, Béla Fleck, and Willie Nelson, among many others.
"In his lyrics, Mr. Hornsby is fascinated by American myths, existential paradoxes and his own reminiscences of growing up in the South. Mr. Hornsby is a remarkable pianist who's not afraid to show off some technique." - Jon Pareles, New York Times
