In the mid-90s, Savage Garden vocalist Darren Hayes’ life changed. “Truly Madly Deeply” hit the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 and by the time of “I Knew I Loved You,” Savage Garden was well on its way to breaking records, generating sales of more than 23 million albums worldwide. What followed was two highly successful solo albums and a 2004 tour, created and designed by the genius behind U2’s live extravaganzas, Willie Williams. It stunned audiences and critics alike, an appetizer of things to come. Darren Hayes: A genuine vocal talent and natural-born entertainer, poised to tour in 2006.

“Do you know Darren Hayes? He was in Savage Garden. After 2002's solo debut Spin, Hayes second solo project is lyrically breathtaking and musically brilliant. The Tension And The Spark is a brave foray into subtle electronica. Even the ballads sound interesting... this album is no folly and succeeds, often to the point of all-out triumph, on its own terms." - The Observer Music Monthly
