Adam Schlesinger is a songwriter, composer, and record producer based in New York City. He is a member of the bands Fountains Of Wayne, Ivy, and most recently, Tinted Windows, a new group he formed with James Iha, Taylor Hanson, and Bun E. Carlos. His recent production work includes new albums by Dashboard Confessional and The Sounds. He has written songs for and with other artists, including The Jonas Brothers, America, The Click Five, Bowling For Soup, and more. He has also worked in film, television, and theater, and has been nominated for Oscar, Tony, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards. Film credits include That Thing You Do!, Music And Lyrics, Shallow Hal, Josie And The Pussycats, and many others. TV work includes A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!, Crank Yankers, SNL, The Dana Carvey Show, The Howard Stern Show, and more. He was co-songwriter of the 2008 Broadway musical Cry-Baby, based on the John Waters film of the same name. He is also co-owner of Stratosphere Sound, a recording studio in Manhattan.
