Manager, John Legend - The Artists Organization ; Partner - JL Ventures, Inc.

The Artists Organization is a management company based in Los Angeles comprised of a portfolio of artists featuring John Legend, Matisyahu, Counting Crows, Lenny Kravitz, and Wild Sweet Orange. Ty supervises the day-to-day management of John Legend and Madi Diaz.

Ty joined The Artists Organization in 2008 after forming a company with John Legend in 2006 that was focused on brand strategy, technology, business development and philanthropy with the goal of creating for and non-profit institutions that build from and enhance John's unique musical offering, business background and desire to do good in the world.

Prior to forming John Legend Ventures Ty was a strategy consultant at LEK Consulting in their Media and Entertainment practice in Los Angeles where she developed new content distribution business models, strategies and operating plans for clients looking to enhance their growth initiatives within the M&E industries.

During her various tenures in the Media and Entertainment industry Ty developed her particular focus in new content distribution models at Real Networks in the Music Services group and at G-Vox where she oversaw the development of an online music notation and collaboration service. She has an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a BA from The University of Pennsylvania.
