Josh Moore is a producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Houston, TX. The son of a lifelong music minister, Josh grew up immersed in gospel and classical music. At 16, he joined and toured with Sony/BMG artists Caedmon's Call. After producing the band's bestselling album at 17, he moved to Nashville where he spent the next 4 years producing national releases for EMI, Sony, Universal, and others. In 2004, Moore traveled to India, Brazil, Ecuador, and other countries making field recordings of never before heard indigenous music, which he blended with his own compositions. The subsequent project, "Share the Well", was released to widespread critical acclaim, including a USA Today mention of "One of the year's best
" After a move back to Houston, Moore became heavily involved with the emerging "Dirty South" rap scene in which he produced and mixed gold and platinum recordings for artists including UGK, Slim Thug, Bun-B, Scarface, Mike Jones, and others. He continues to work on projects in Houston, Los Angeles, and New York and has currently joined Casey McPherson on the Alpha Rev project as MD where they are now recording at Avatar in NYC.
