About New York Sessions

A One-Day Music Career Boost
Featuring Keynote Interview with Rob Thomas

Can't get enough of the "I Create Music" EXPO? Can't get to it in April? ASCAP is now pleased to offer New York Sessions, a one-day career boosting event for songwriters and composers, featuring a special keynote interview with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Rob Thomas, at the Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in Manhattan on March 10. If you are a music creator, New York Sessions will provide you with the opportunity to connect with ASCAP's top songwriters, composers and producers, and experience educational panels, inspiring speakers, informative technology demos and more – all to help you strengthen the skills, knowledge and craft you need to make it in today's music business.

After the Annual ASCAP General Membership Meeting at 9:30am, New York Sessions will kick off with a special interview and Q&A session with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Rob Thomas. Then a variety of sessions, sponsored by some of today's top music technology and service businesses, will cover such topics as 'Marketing from The Driver's Seat;' 'Making the Most from Digital Distribution and Airplay;' 'Recording a "Ready for Primetime" Demo;' and 'Managers, Agents, Publishing and You'.

There will also be a "teaching studio" built on site and operating throughout the day. This master class in recording will be staffed by a working producer and engineer who will develop a piece of music in a series of cumulative sessions.

Capping the day of valuable programming will be an ASCAP super panel of top songwriters, composers and producers.

New York Sessions pricing begins at $55 for ASCAP members and it is open to non-members as well.
