For
a week in March more than 7,000 music industry
professionals and enthusiasts from around
the world converged in Miami Beach, Florida,
for the 18th Annual Winter Music
Conference at the Radisson Deauville.
The WMC is America's largest electronic
dance music festival. This year, ASCAP
sponsored the weeklong event, Funkshion,
where thr group Aerial performed. ASCAP
also co-hosted an industry party with Thump
Radio in the Red Room at the Sky Bar in
downtown Miami. In addition, ASCAP's
Mike Todd, from the Film & Television
Department, participated on a panel entitled
"Legal 101: Wheeling and Dealing
with the Media," and ASCAP
presented the Heineken Ampt/ASCAP Recognition
Award to world-renowned DJ David Morales. |

Urb hosted an afternoon bar-b-que party
on the roof of a Miami Beach Hotel for the
