RSVP FOR THE ASCAP POP MUSIC AWARDS HAS CLOSED. NO MORE RSVPs WILL BE ACCEPTED.
EXPO attendees were invited to attend the ASCAP Pop Music Awards on the eve of the ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO at no extra charge. The ASCAP Pop Music Awards will be held at the legendary Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. The Kodak Theatre is located right next to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, the home of the EXPO.
This year's show will feature the presentation of Golden Note Awards to legendary songwriter/artists Lionel Richie and Steve Miller, a performance by the evening's Vanguard Award recipient Sara Bareilles as well as performances by American Idol-turned-pop sensation Elliott Yamin, and songwriters Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear will be performing the hit song they co-wrote for Carrie Underwood, "Before He Cheats." More performances and honorees will be added soon. The awards show will recognize the songwriters and publishers of the most performed pop songs of 2007.
The event will start in the evening at roughly 6:30pm and will include award presentations and many exciting once-in-a-lifetime live performances by some of the top ASCAP writers and artists. Hundreds of the top ASCAP writers and music industry professionals attend the ASCAP Pop Music Awards each year. We are pleased to pull back the curtain again on this wonderful event for you, our EXPO attendees, and give you an added bonus to kick off your EXPO experience.
