How many software libraries do you rotate to keep a good sound?
Single sounds can inspire you to make a good beat. Vintage library sounds, our favorite sounds, custom counts, pre-sets, synths, carry petals, just being open to a vast collection. Most of time we create our own pre-sets.
What compressors do you use?
We use drum aux, mastering plug ins and impact old school compressors to make a kick. Old school vintage compressors are great.
What makes your dynamic so important as a duo? Why is Stargate so hot?
Chemistry. We work well as a team. We know each others strengths. What I lack he can pick up. To go into the studio and have someone to bounce your stuff off is really helpful. Feedback kick starts everything. Two is better than one, there's strength in duos. Collaborating is key in anything, any success. One-hundred percent of nothing is still nothing.
