One of the major benefits of the ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO is the chance to network with the thousands of fellow songwriters and industry pros in attendance each year. You never know who you're going to run into at an EXPO panel or - as ASCAP singer/songwriter Noam Weinstein discovered when he attended the 2011 EXPO - in the elevator! Here's what Noam told us about his amazing EXPO success story:
"Among the fun at last year's EXPO, the most fateful event for me was meeting artist/producer Mike Viola in an elevator. I'd actually been attempting - and failing - to get his attention online, and there he was, moving vertically while standing still. I tried to be as non-threatening as possible in a tight space with limited ventilation, and when he reached his floor, I offered a CD as a souvenir of our ride together. He was gracious and wrote the next day with a generous reaction. Fast-forward eight months, and I'm back in L.A. mastering a new album he produced. Thank you, ASCAP! Thank you, elevator industry!"
So there you have it! Noam Weinstein found himself moving on up in the world (pun completely intended), all courtesy of the ASCAP EXPO. And you could be next. Register today!
