Matthew "Cornbread" Compton

Songwriter, Artist - Bands: Cursive, Glos, Engine Down

Matthew "Cornbread" Compton is the man behind the percussion for Black Iris. Matthew began his musical career with the band Engine Down in early 2000, embarking on multiple tours across Japan, Europe, and the US. After moving to LA in 2006, he began writing, recording, touring, and sharing good times with other artists such as Cursive, Heavens, Glos, Billy Howerdale, Danny Lohner, and Asa Taccone. Along with a long list of commercial projects, Matthew has written music for various MTV shows and Magnolia Pictures' The Signal.
