Timothy "Attitude" Clayton

Timothy "Attitude" Clayton

Songwriter - "Promiscuous," "Afraid," "Give It To Me"

Veteran emcee and Alabama-based independent label owner Timothy "Attitude" Clayton is poised to become the new voice of the South. Attitude has developed a style that holds true to his upbringing in the South, but is greatly influenced lyrically by the East Coast rap hip-hop scene. After rolling in and out of jail, Attitude decided to take control of his life and start his own label, Centa Street Records, with partner Wade Summerville. He released his first album in 1996, appropriately titled Serious Times. He soon hooked up with rapper Bubba Sparxxx, touring together and guesting on Sparxxx's critically acclaimed second album, Deliverance. Through this close relationship, Attitude also had the opportunity to work with Timbaland, who signed him to the now-defunct Beat Club imprint through Interscope. In addition to an impressive catalogue of recorded material, Attitude has written for the likes of Nelly Furtado, Timbaland and Diddy, to name a few. He sees his music as representative of the Southern voice that is so underrepresented in this age of Crunk. With several more projects in the works, it's only a matter of time before the world pays attention.
