DJ, Producer - "Go Crazy"
At the age of five, Donald Cannon began his musical career with his first a set of turntables, a mixer and a karaoke machine becoming one of the Philly's hottest young DJs. In 1998, Cannon was named "Atlanta's Best DJ." Cannon then founded his production company, Cannon Music, LLC. Cannon partnered with DJ Drama and DJ Sense and they became known as "The Aphilliates" in 2002. Since then they have become Atlanta's premier DJ collective and one of the most respected brands in hip-hop music. Five nights a week they can be heard on WHTA-FM Hot 107.9 FM Gangsta Grillz Radio where Cannon serves as the show's un-official music director. They can also be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio's "Shade 45" on The Aphilliates; The Streets Is Watching every Friday. Citing DJ Premier, Timberland, Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, and J Dilla as key influencers of his production, Cannon is known for his cutting edge but classical style of music with an Atlanta added bounce. Cannon's redefined swagger led to his first major placement the platinum single from Young Jeezy featuring Jay-Z "Go Crazy." This year alone, Cannon has produced tracks on albums ranging from Fabolous to 50 Cent. |
