Dave Bassett
Songwriter, Producer, Artist - "Shinedown," "Best Days," "Sparta," "Machine"
Dave Bassett is a songwriter, producer and recording artist. Bassett's resume of songwriting credits spans from Shinedown to Josh Groban to alternative bands like Scary Kids Scaring Kids. His TV and film credits range from Grey's Anatomy to Bridge To Terabithia while his productions include major label acts such as Sparta and Gran Bel Fisher. Operating out of his L.A. based studio, Chateau Relaxeau, Dave is consistently getting called in to work with a broad range of artists. Dave has come a long way since his days as singer/guitarist for acclaimed alternative pop band Three Day Wheely. Dave's musical path began when Dave found himself an unsuspecting victim of fate. At a U2 concert, Bono handpicked the then 21-year-old Bassett from the crowd to join the band on guitar for a life-changing rendition of Neil Young's "Southern Man." A guitar player from age twelve, Dave had no problem jumping in and even throwing out a solo before a crowd of 20,000 fans. Coincidentally, U2 producer and music mogul Jimmy Iovine was in attendance at the Chicago show and later offered Dave some studio time to record in Los Angeles. Dave is represented by Bennett Kaufman at The BK Entertainment Group. |
