ASCAP is pleased to announce the addition of chart-topping pop sensation Katy Perry to the roster of panelists at the 8th annual ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO. Perry will take part in a special master session, entitled Wide Awake: “I Create Music” Interview with Katy Perry.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler will join ASCAP for a Google+ Hangout, during which he will be interviewed by entertainment journalist Roger Friedman. Tyler will also answer select questions Tweeted to @ASCAPEXPO, using the hashtag #AskSteven.

We are thrilled with the 2013 ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO schedule! The detailed schedule is now available online, including panels, master sessions and performances covering just about every essential topic for a career in music.

The schedule includes major speakers like Lionel Richie, Ne-Yo, Diplo and Big Sean; master sessions with Steve Lillywhite, Nico Muhly and No I.D.; and panels covering craft, business, legislative, marketing, music placement and everything in between.

ASCAP writer-producer Barry Eastmond’s songs have sold more than 80 million copies over the years, for artists like Freddie Jackson, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Aretha Franklin and George Benson, to name just a few.

The ASCAP EXPO, held April 18th-20th in Los Angeles, has added over 20 new panelists. The EXPO is the only music conference dedicated to songwriters and composers. The discount pricing period ends on March 31st, so register now!
