Lovedrug
Like many great bands, there is something
hauntingly spiritual and honest about Lovedrug.
The Ohio-based rock band musically delivers
highbrow pop art akin to Mercury Rev, early
Radiohead or Sunny Day Real Estate, crossed
with the pop sensibilities of Third Eye
Blind and the arena grandeur of Queen. Lyrically,
Lovedrug reveals a writer wrestling with
the demons that face us all, winning and
losing all at once.

Black Car
Black Car is, in essence, one man, Dan Glendining.
The tracks that make up Black Car's debut
LP were recorded by Dan with Paul Stacey
(Oasis, Chris Robinson) during the summer
of 2002. While writing and recording, Dan
was heavily influenced by Jim Jarmusch and
Akira Kurosawa films and Leonard Cohen's
catalogue, writing songs on the "big
themes" of love and loss and hope and
regret. The band's new live line-up includes
Tom on drums, Caz on bass and Pat West on
guitar.
