Centeroo: Bonnaroo's Town

Filled with four concert tents (each holding many thousands of people), the intimate XM Radio Sonic Stage, arts & crafts, food vendors, a playground, batting cages, public art, a large central fountain, a comedy tent with top-notch talent, a tiki bar, cafés (including an internet café with electronic message boards and downloading stations), and a 24-hour movie tent - Centeroo was a true, bustling downtown area for the Bonnaroovians. There was a traditional Mardi Gras parade at Bonnaroo, which was led by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The photo on the right shows the lead float of the parade.

More of Centeroo

ASCAP member Dave Chappelle was not at the festival, but his TV show, The Chappelle Show, was played at the 24 hour-a-day movie tent, seen here on the right. The Centeroo swing set is shown on the left.

On the left, Dave Matthews (far left) and Ben Kaufmann of Yonder Mountain String Band (far right) were a part of one press conference. On the right, alt-country singer-songwriter Neko Case (SOCAN) was part of a separate press conference.
