Bonnaroo: Better than Ever

In its sixth year, Bonnaroo settles in as an unforgettable musical institution

The thriving Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival made a major step toward making their annual event a long lasting affair - they bought the farm. For the past six years, Bonnaroo has been held on the same plot of land with tremendous success. Having found the perfect home for Bonnaroo, they bought the land in order to begin building some permanent structures and also with an eye toward hosting other concerts and festivals on the site. With a tremendous lineup that ranged from Tool to Franz Ferdinand (PRS) to Dierks Bentley to Ornette Coleman to Ben Harper to Kings of Leon, the festival was a treat for all 80,000 music fans attending. Each year there is something new to be found, such as the Something Else Jazz Tent, set up like a New York City Jazz Club. The festival is still a relatively non-corporate event with none of the stages named for sponsors, which adds to the community feel of the event. For four days each June music lovers will continue to flock to Manchester, TN to hear what Bonnaroo has to offer.
