Jersey Boys and The Pajama Game in the Tony® Spotlight

Jersey Boys, based on the life story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, was named Best Musical at the American Theatre Wing's 60th Annual TonyŽ Awards, held June 11, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Also winning a TonyŽ for Best Revival of a Musical was The Pajama Game, which features the original music and lyrics of ASCAP members Richard Adler and Jerry Moss.

TonyŽ Awards are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement. ASCAP congratulates its 2006 winners and all of our nominees: Stephen Bray and Marsha Norman (The Color Purple), Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), Andrew Lloyd Webber (PRS) and David Zippel (The Woman in White), Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd), Kurt Weill and Berthold Brecht (The Threepenny Opera), Larry Blank (The Drowsy Chaperone), Dick Lieb and Danny Troob (The Pajama Game) and Steve Orich (Jersey Boys).
