Songwriter Alejandro Sanz (SGAE) won two Latin Grammys at the 6th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, which were held on November 3, 2005 in Los Angeles. Sanz won Record of the Year and Song of The Year awards. Bebe (SGAE) took home the Best New Artist award. Obie Bermúdez won Best Male Pop Vocal Album while Laura Pausini (SGAE) won Best Female Pop Vocal Album. The Best Urban Music Album award went to Daddy Yankee for Barrio Fino.
