ASCAP Foundation Young Jazz Composer Awards 2004/2005

Jesse Elder is the pianist/composer/bandleader for the Jesse Elder Quintet, a NYC based professional jazz ensemble featuring original and standard music performed by outstanding young jazz musicians. Jesse graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy where he received a Fine Arts Award in Jazz Performance.
He is also a previous ASCAP Young Jazz Composer winner. His ensemble features Matthew Brewer on bass and Thomas Crane on drums (both members of the world renowned Greg Osby Quartet), and Colin Killalea on tenor saxophone and Tatum Greenblat on trumpet (both graduates of the New School University Jazz and Contemporary Music Program). They perform regularly at venues throughout New York City, including The Knitting Factory, the C-note, Rockwood Music Hall, and others. They also perform for private parties, art gallery openings, wedding receptions and many other special events.
