Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards Announced

Recipients of the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award were announced December 18, 2007 by The Recording Academy. A special invitation-only ceremony for the presentation of these Awards will be held on Feb. 9, and a formal acknowledgment will be made during the GRAMMY Awards telecast, which will be broadcast live February 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The Lifetime Achievement Award honors lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium and is determined by vote of The Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. The ASCAP members receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards will be Burt Bacharach, The Band and Cab Calloway.
