Nominations for the 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced Thursday, December 8, 2005 in New York City.

The 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
