The ASCAP Foundation Mary Rodgers/Lorenz Hart Award
The ASCAP Foundation Mary Rodgers/Lorenz Hart Award was established by Mary Rodgers to honor the legacy of Lorenz “Larry” Hart who together with composer Richard Rodgers produced a roster of hit shows including Jumbo, On Your Toes, Babes in Arms, I Married an Angel, The Boys from Syracuse, Pal Joey, and A Connecticut Yankee. The Mary Rodgers/Lorenz Hart Award is presented annually to an ASCAP member who is a promising musical theater lyricist. A composer/lyricist team is also eligible.
